Past Roomies

One great thing about blogging is keeping in touch with friends (obviously). I have recently been able to reconnect with 5 special girls from my past. My first apartment of roommates. I have just been thinking alot about them lately and I figured I better write it down. I was the only freshman in the apartment (we ranged from freshmen to senior) but I never felt like it. They took me, this young'n with a crap load of problems, and showed me get through them. The other day, I was in Walmart (yep, I am there all the time) and I saw these two girls walking around and one of them used the word "epiphany" and memories started flowing. I have always thought it was fun that we all lived together when 5/6 of us met or spouses. Oh the drama those boys gave us. The John-fiasco, the Steve-war (I always felt guilty for being so tight with Steve but just think Sarah...Nick is WAY hotter:) ...and he is going to be a DOCTOR. He gets, like, triple points for that ), Brendal getting the bucket of water poured on them under the stairs, the Valentines Day shrine (that still amazes me Linds. Were there only three guys involved in that? Seems like more. I am still jealous), the hate/love Benjy phase. Man we sure crammed a lot of drama in for only living together for two semesters. And I was thinking, how and why did that showered curtain end up on the ceiling of our living room (good thing we were all good mormon girls otherwise, that might worry me more)? And Megan, where the heck are you at now? Are you still going to be a doctor?

Hey!! I am still in Utah - just bought a house in Kaysville with Jon. Not a doctor but I hope to do something medical - I'd love to go travel and teach health education or preventative health measures, work for some non profit eventually. The shower curtain went on the ceiling because the steam in the bathroom made the colors run and get on everything despite using permanant sharpies...its so fun to get in touch with you guys!!

Ashley! That was such a fun post! Although, I would have rather never remembered that bucket of water incident... lol! That was a complicated but amazing year. One of the best of my life.

Ashley, your such a doll! Megan's explanation of the shower curtain was way too practical. We were crazy women with time and estrogen to burn, what else? And don't worry about clinging on, I was never bitter. I knew my tall and dark was just around the corner..ready to sweep me off to Buffalo! ha! definetly my favorite 5 months of single life ever. Thanks for the memory lane!

Oh man, this post brought back so many good memories!!! How in the world did we ever manage to cram so much into just one year? We sure were six busy girls! I still miss standing in front of that mirror getting ready with everyone, having friends to talk to while we did our hair... every time I get ready now I just stand in my bathroom and think, "this is so boring by myself!" What good times we had!
