It's alive!

Yep, there it is. It is a miracle. As most of you know, I have been banned from having live plants in our home. I have a habit of killing pretty green things. I have even killed a bamboo and a cactus. The sad part is that I really try to not kill them, it just happens (maybe I love them to death). Anyways, I decided I wanted to revisit the herb garden idea (for like, the fourth time). Lone behold, SOMETHING IS GROWING!! I have Chives, Basil, Rosemary, and Thyme growing. Yeah! The other miracle is that on Mother's Day, I got a pansy at church, took it home, planted it, and it is still alive! I have made it almost a week!

YAY congrats. My bamboo is in the process of dying a very slow death. I've had him almost since we've been married and this basement apt is just not good for him. It's sad

Thats great! I am also bent on keeping my Mother's Day plant alive - it's such a pretty red thing. I am going to get some houseplants and try to keep them alive as well. I hope your herb garden thrives - I tried cilantro last year and it had a short, pathetic life. But I think I will try again this summer anyway.
