Me, Myself, and I

3 Joys.

Pride and Prejudice (the movie or book, I like it all)

Knowing Benjy has a stable job (I hope, right Mandy :) jk) that we like.

Pastries. When I was younger, my parents would get pastries for their 'special treat' just for them. Now, when ever I get a pastry, I feel so special.

3 Fears.

#1 Fear-Car accidents, big or small. Crazy, I know. Accidents that bother me because I feel like it is out of my control. It doesn't matter how careful I am, it doesn't mean moron (yes, I am putting this mildly) still isn't going to hit me or my family. II am always telling Benjy that accidents (of any sort) don't happen on purpose and this area TOTALLY applies. I. Sometimes I honestly feel like taking on the "old lady driving philosophies" and quit driving and have everything delivered to my house.

Heights-but this one does have parameters. If I am indoors, I am fine. It is the outdoors, hanging over the railing, feel the wind in my hair that makes me die. My family is probably laughing at me right now thinking about the Grand Canyon. In order to look down and see the canyon, I have to be sitting down on the ground. I feel like I am less likely to fall to my death that way.

Spiders and snakes-enough said

3 Obsessions.

Hobbies. I would list one hobby but there isn't one. I get really hooked on something for a while and it is all I think about....until something better comes along

This one is really weird. Numbers. I am OCD with numbers. Budgeting, spreadsheets, counting, countdowns, etc.

Getting my ME time.

3 Goals.
Own a house

Be more outwardly social (I am actually a very social person but I have a hard time finding social situations. Does that even make sense?)

Travel the world. First stop (in like 50 yrs)... England

3 Surprising Facts about Me

I love action movies. Benjy and I went to see Live Free or Die Hard while I was pregnant and I got so into it that is gave me contractions. I also really love stupid movies. The more stupid, the better. I seriously watch Sahara or Starsky and Hutch about ever other week if not more.

For some reason I really REALLY want a really nice TV and I have wanted this for years. This is surprising because I am quite the tight wad. A nice television is so overpriced. I don't even watch that much television but I still want one. The kind of TV that everyone wants to come over and watch the big game (even though I don't watch sports) on. For the last five years, I have only owned a 20". Before that my family always had decent televisions but never the WOW ones. I want a WOW television.

Even though my mother is Canadian, I am fully American :) While Benjy and I were dating, his roomates didn't like the fact that I am half Canadian (go ahead, make fun of me). They decided to remedy the problem by making Christina full Canadian and me full American. I guess I was supposed to come up with something surprising instead of crazy. Oh well.

Introducing Our New Niece

Welcome to the family
Isabelle

Elder Cooper

Jeff(my younger brother) has been on his mission for six months! It just dawned on me today. I can't believe he is a quarter of the way done. It has been so fun to read the emails he sends home and has been awesome to see some of the pictures. He is actually quite the photographer. I just picked out a few (from over 300) to show some highlights. For those of you who don't know, Jeff is serving in the Brisbane, Australia mission. We are so proud of him but still miss him tons!

Start of a new era

Congrats to my twin Chris! A while back Christina found out that she was going to be able to replace her last year of school with an internship. She is going to be teaching 3rd grade here in the valley. Yesterday she called me up and Rees and I helped her start moving into her 1st class room ever. It was pretty crazy to think about once we got there. We are to young to be adults and have to do grown up things. Anyways, we are so happy for her and proud of all the work she has done (and honestly, a little jealous:) but I think that comes with the twin territory. You always want what the other has)

We're so funny

**Disclaimer: Please disregard the fact that even though it is obviously daytime in the video I did not feel the need to get dressed or do my hair or makeup:) **

Me Time

Last night was Fathers and Sons for our stake. Even though Rees is to young for a campout, Benjy still went which meant I got ME TIME after Rees went to sleep (if you can call what he did sleep). I decided to work on one of the many things I want to be good at but never really have the time/talent to do. My choice...fondant. I broke out the Styrofoam and made a mini cake with fondant. Turns out that I kinda suck at it but I had a blast. I do pretty well with round cakes but square shapes are a whole nother ball game (the corners were a killer and the fondant was hardening to fast). I did figure out a few tricks though so I need to make another soon so I can try them out.

Cars are our thing

Everybody seems to have the one thing that always breaks (or just goes wrong) for them. For some people, it is televisions, some is always ending up in the emergency room with food poisoning, cellphones troubles, etc, etc. Our thing is cars. In the three and a half years of our marriage we have boughten at least three complete sets of new tires, a transmission, water pumps, breaks, etc. Honestly, it has kinda reached a point where humor has become an important element. So for the story...

Benjy was in another car accident today. THANKFULLY (imagine that with a huge amount of emphasis) this accident had no injuries and was completely not Benjy's fault. He was stopped at a red light on Lehi Main St (The death trap of Utah County) when some hit him full force going at least 50 mph. Benjy of course, in turn, hit the car in front of him also. He was one his way home from work so of course tools when flying everywhere. We lucky none of the ladders when through anyones windshield. Luckily on of his co-workers wasn't far behind him so she was able to get all the big tools (the bed was loaded with BIG stuff) taken car of before the tow truck arrived. We think the insurance is just going to total the truck out. As crazy as it sounds, I think we might be happy about the accident. We have been trying to sell the truck since Benjy was laid off from Rainey and haven't been able to. Maybe this will help. Either the truck is going to be fixed up till it is basically new (which should help us sell it) or it will just get totaled out. Either way, maybe we might come out ahead on this.

And yes, I am one of those crazy people who came home and called one of those accident lawyers that have all the commercials. Go ahead, make fun of me!

I think I want a Wii now

Fun weekend. We started off by having Derrick (one of Benjy's Delta buddies) stay with us. He brought his girlfriend's Wii with him so we played tons of Mario Kart. Rees loved it. He would sit on Benjy or Derrick's lap and spend 90% of the time trying to grab their remotes and/or push buttons. Turns out Derrick is still a pro at Nintendo even with a 6 month old pushing all the remote buttons. Later Friday night we met up with Joe and Alana (Joe's fiance) at the Spaghetti Factory. Way fun times. We had so much fun that Joe and Alana came over again on Saturday. They brought Chinese take-out and we played games way into the night. So much fun. Benjy decided to end the fun weekend with a slow and relaxing drive up to Deer Creek on Sunday. We should Rees where Benjy proposed to me. For some reason, Rees didn't seem all that impressed :) I love weekend like these. We got to do some relaxing, worked a little, spent time with friends, and saw a little bit of nature.
