We had the opportunity to go to Overton last weekend. It was so warm and toasty, I was totally in heaven. Because it was my little brother Jeff's mission farewell, we got to see tons of family and eat tons of great food. Every winter I get pretty home sick for the valley. I treasure the times I get to see my family. During the holidays, we usually get to play tons of games, do puzzles, and watch movies together. We tend to do the games marathon style. We would start a game and play all day long, taking breaks for meals and to do a few chores. Those of you who know me well know how I feel about games. Between the games, sunshine, and family I am usually in heaven!

Monumental Moment!!
Today is a monumental day for out little Rees. He has finally reached his birth weight!! This his been a struggle for the little guy but he has finally made it. He is now a whopping 7 lbs 13 oz. Yeah!!
This is a picture of Rees "weight training" with Uncle Hayden. Hayden has taken it upon himself to be Rees's personal trainer. Rees can now bench press a wooden spoon. That almost weighs as much as a bar bell, right?

Our little bundle of cuteness
Rees has reached the point in his life where he is starting to show personality. He is totally starting to do the cute little things babies do. For instance, his sleeping position. We have been doing the whole swaddling thing with him. We start out by pinning his arms straight down to his side. Now, the little tike has yet to grow into his newborn outfits so he has quite a bit of wiggle room. By the time Rees wakes up to eat, he has wiggled his fingers out of his sleeves and they are sticking out of his collar. Lately he has been found with his finger curled around his collar and one or two fingers in his mouth, sucking away merrily. I have to say, I hate waking up all night long to feed the child but at least he is being cute about it. If the thought of him waking up didn't strike fear in my heart, I would take a picture.

One Giant Leap For Me!
So today was kind of a huge step for me since having Rees. I actually used my curling iron today. I know, it sounds lame, but this is a huge step for me. I haven't done my hair since the day the kid was born. I had planned for all the challenges that would come from having a baby (you know, all the crying, poop, etc) but I didn't think about my own personal challenges. I think doing my hair today exhausted me so it might be a while before I do it again. At least I know it is now possible!!!

Thanksgiving
The Day Before The Beginning/End :)
Since today is officially the last full day I will be pregnant, I thought I would let everyone see how big my belly has gotten. This was taken about two weeks ago, so you will need to add quiet a bit of swelling to this picture. Enjoy!!

Update
Well, I am almost at week 39. I think everything is going pretty normally. I am completely exhausted and am having constant aches and pains but I think that is pretty normal. I did find out I do have some hypertension. The doctor thinks it is only stressed induced and it is only a little bit. The doctor said I am just over barely over the line. However, I will be getting induced next Monday just in case it gets worse. I have already dilated 4 cm, 75% effaced, and the baby is at a 0 station so I could very well go into labor on my own. Until then, I have been given the orders to relax as much as possible to make sure my blood pressure doesn't rise. Twist my arm, I don't need to be told twice! Doc told me to take it easy with the chores, take lots of naps, and spend time doing stress free things. I don't know how I am going to make it through all this relaxing.... :)

37 Weeks!!
So today I am officially 37 weeks! It is kind of weird to think that I will be having a baby anytime between now and Dec 5th (that is when they will induce me if I haven't gone into labor on my own.) I laid in bed thinking about this for ever this morning. I couldn't decided if I wanted to do everything I could to speed up this process and get this kid out of me or just wait it out so I could enjoy this last bit of an era on my own. I couldn't decided. Benjy thinks I am nuts for wanting to rush the process but he doesn't get it. Well, we will keep you guys posted!

Old Mother Hubbard
This picture is just a taste of how cute my baby shower. For everyone who went, thanks a million for coming. My sister and mother totally out did themselves. The theme was Nursery Rhymes and EVERYTHING correlated. It was so adorable and it was so wonderful to see all my friends.

I've been discovered!!
Well, I have been caught. I started this blog about 7 or 8 months ago but never did anything with it. One of the things I love to do is check on everyone's blogs. I check to see what everyone has posted a couple times a week, that is how much I like it. So one day I thought it was time to start my own but I did it in secret as a trial. I was afraid I would tell everyone about it, and then never post, which is exactly was happened. I have been outed though. So, for everyone's benefit, I added several posts today and will try my hardest to stay on top of things and keep posting. But don't worry, even if I don't do so well for the next few weeks, once our baby is born, I plan on bombarding everyone with tons of pictures and stories. So for now, enjoy just hearing about Benjy and I!!
Creative Hayden
Let me start off by apologizing for being part-retarded and not making the pictures turn the right way but I am too lazy to go back and change it :) At the end of the summer we went camping at Otter Creek in Southern Utah with my parents, Hayden, and Christina. We had a blast. We went trucking everywhere and went to see Fish Lake (one of our favorite places) and went to see a reservoir that has a name but I can no longer remember it (laugh all you want, I'm pregnant and can't help it). What ever that place was, it was beautiful. While we were camping Hayden got bored with the notion of using a stick to roast marshmallows and invented a new way. By tin foiling a shovel, he could place the end of the shovel into the fire and use it like a frying pan to cook tons of mallows at once. What can I say, I come from a very creative family when it comes to food.
Uncle Benjy and His Cute Little Giny Pigs
The Super Ax
Ok, so this is kind of a wierd thing to take a picture of but there is a story behind it. We took a weekend and went camping with some of Benjy's high school buddies this summer. Every time we go camping, we try and buy something small to add to our camping stuff instead of just buying it all at once. This camping trips purchase was an ax. Benjy was so stinking excited about this because apparently this ax is indestructible because one of the tests they did with this ax was have a huge truck run the ax over and the ax didn't break. The part that makes me laugh is that almost EVERYTHING Benjy buys has been tested by having a huge truck run it over. You guys may think that I am kidding but I am totally not. Benjy has a large collection of things that have all been tested the same way. So here Benjy is, using his ax that can withstand being run over by a huge truck.

Graduation!!!
The day Benjy and I have been waiting for has finally arrived!! Benjy got his bachelor's last Friday, April 27, 2007. We had a ton of family come there. Benjy's sister from Indiana, Heather, and my Grandparents from Canada came as a surprise. Both sets of parents and Christina were also there to help celebrate this amazing day. It is hard to believe that the day Benjy and I have been waiting for for two and a half years came and went so quickly.
