I have something annoying to announce

http://lifemovingtofast.blogspot.com/

I am moving my blog, Ya, I know, it is a HUGE pain but it must be done.

The last couple of months have been rough. I’m going gray with worry and unable to sleep at nights. So I am now going to take the steps necessary to get a good night sleep. Step one is to completely erase our last name and Benjamin from this blog. The most efficient way to do that is to start over (several years of post to weed through is WAY to much work). So on this new blog pictures, names, etc of my darling husband will not be listed anywhere on this new blog. I’m trying to come up with a code name for him that doesn’t sound stupid but it is hard. On this same note, will anyone who has our names linked on your blog please remove our last name? I would really appreciate it. Thanks a million.

I know I could just make our blog private again but I don’t have that much confidence in that alternative. We live in the world of hackers. I would rather just not have the information available :)

So there it is. Can I just tell you I am sorry for being a pain? I will leave this blog open for a while longer before I make it private and then start deleting it. Have patience with my new blog. The poor thing looks like crap but I am working on it.

I am having a bad day already

So I am having a rough morning :(

I am working on a new blog and in the process I erased my awesome background (yes I did save a template SOMEWHERE but I can't find it. It isn't even the downloads or temp folders.).

Dear Blogger, I hate you right now!

More home town randomness

These huge tractor tires have always amazed us. Who put them there? How long have they been left there? How could something so ghetto actually be so endearing? huh.

Aquarium

The Silverton Casino and Bass Pro Shop in Vegas are SO fun. I highly recomend going if you get a chance (especially since it is FREE!). The only bad part was the ducks were all sleeping. Honestly, I am pretty Benjy shed a few tears when he saw them motionless. Its ok though because he saw a bunch a catfish that were at least 4 feet long.

Anyways, back to the salt water aquarium. Rees had a hay day. Especially since there was a diver and a mermaid swimming around. The mermaid scared him a bit (won't that be nice if a scantily dressed woman always scared him?) but he loved the diver. He ever gave the diver a high five and pounds through the glass. The tank was HUGE and it took us about half an hour just to get Rees to walk around the whole thing. Turns out that the kid has much more of an intention span then I had previously given him credit for.

Reesie and the new friend who's name we already forgot :S

Has anyone ever done the shark reef? Is it worth the money? Rees liked this so much we are thinking of trying to take him there.

I think this picture sums up Central NV

I took this picture today while Benjy and I were on a drive. I think it sums up the area perfectly. The very majestic mountains and a caved in mining shaft. It is crappy, kind of an eye sore, full of history and stories, hidden beauty, and a scene you will remember for the rest of your life because of all the good things a place like this can bring.

Updates (and mostly stories about Rees)

My brother graciously reminded me that I haven't posted any pictures in quite some time so they will be coming soon. I think I have some great pictures.

We got to see Hayden play in the Division playoffs and he did AWESOME. My brother is quite the stud on the court if you didn't know. I am so sad that we only have one more year of watching him play.

Rees and I have been sick lately (boo!) but we have gotten some good bonding time in lying on the couch all day. I have learned my son is very concerned for others. About once an hour he will pick his head up and ask, "Daddy go?" and keep asking until he has asked about all my family, the Comeau grandparents, Toni, a few other friends and some of his babysitters. At first I just thought it was annoying but now I appreciate it so much and I absolutely love it.

I am LOVING the Olympics. Being a sicky couch potato has really helped feed the frenzy too. Luckily Rees hasn't minded the Olympic overload because he thinks everyone is either "credble( incredible)" or yells "Whoa! He flying! (he especially goes nuts during the different ski jumps)"

Lately I have been thinking...

I am a total fun kill lately. When I join a group of people, I can just feel my presence weighing everything and everyone down. I can't decide if that means I need to get out more or if I should lock myself in the house until my mood lifts.

My body hurts. I have been working SO HARD to try and get healthier and lose some weight. I wouldn't mind if I saw some other results but so far the ONLY end products I am seeing in the past three weeks is feeling like my body is 80 and like I can't ever have my stomach satisfied. I want some results dang it! Feeling great, more energy, a shrinking waist line, something dang it! Next month I am going to start a dvd Andrea recommended. Hopefully that will help.

Rees' singing has hit new levels. Not only does he walk around singing songs but he has now added a drum. He marches around carrying a whisk (that's his weapon of choice) and bowl, beating the bowl to death while singing songs like "rock a bye baby" It is so funny. The kid is so funny

Benjy is a rockstar. I would tell you all the reason why but I won't because A. I can't disclose many things at this point in time. B. some stuff is nun-ya and C. know one likes reading sappy stuff about peoples relationships. Just know this...I love the guy and he is the reason for my happiness and sanity.

Doesn't a trip Fiji, or some place like it, sound amazing right now? Actually, a trip to anywhere sounds pretty darn fun.

I would L.O.V.E. a warm fudgy brownie right now. Or a warm chocolate chip cookie. Or oreos. Or anything honestly.

Love you Jeff. I hope you feel better soon.

Lessons learned this week...

Stress does make your skin break out break out. Majorly. And then you get stressed about looking like crap so you break out even more.

Little boys behave much better when their daddies are around. (P.S. Toni- I've decided that when Benjy is gone next week, I need Devin to come over about once a week and wrestle the craziness/naughtiness out of Rees. Thanks :)

Anyone can run, but it still sucks.

Jogging, totally healthiness, and portion control is the best way to go but it doesn't necessarily mean the scale numbers are going to go down. ( Dear scale, I hate you. Dear tape measure, I hate you too)

Spiritual and intellectual empowerment is such a peaceful, powerful, and happy thing.

Little boys are definitely a pain, but they are the funniest more creative creatures on earth. I thank the Lord everyday for sending me such an amazing little boy and husband.

Friends rock.

Picasso was here.

Let me tell, the kid is SSSOOO fast. It took all of about 30 seconds to do this...While I was laying on the couch!

Do you like how he is all smiley and proud of his work? That was because he did not realize punishment was well on its way.

May I say that I LOVE microfiber? This all came off in less than a minute of cleaning. Bless you who ever invented microfiber. I think you should be made a saint for saving mothers' sanity everywhere.

Women are like stoves...

My Google Reader pulled up this blog for me. It is like Google Reader seeing exactly what is going on in my head.

This is the stove that represents me.

I pulled this picture from google images

Is the stove in the kitchen where it is supposed to be? Yes. Has the stove been cleaned up in an effort to make the stove look shiny, newer, and totally put together? Yes. Do you think the owner of this stove is trying to convince themselves that this "retro chic" stove is better than a commercial grade, stainless steal, gas run beauty? Absolutely!!

Honestly put, winter blows. I'm sick of being so far away from ANYTHING, I am feeling trapped and a little lonely here, and completely unmotivated. But the important thing is that, like this stove, I am trying. So here is me recommitting myself to a more motivated life and redistributing the pots on the burners!

P.S. This is just me airing my grievances to the cyber universe so no pity comments allowed!

Frisbee Golf

Benjy's brother and sister in-law gave us an awesome Christmas present this year. A Frisbee golf set. Since hillbilly hell is drastically lacking in entertainment options, we have gotten a TON of use out of these. They have been so fun and we really appreciate the thoughtfulness.

P.S. Andrea- Everytime we use them, Benjy goes on and on about how nice you were to think of getting us this gift when you found out we had a Frisbee golf course. You guys are now officially the best gift-givers. I think you are also ranked higher than me on the list of awesome people he knows :)

Thank you Comeau family!

I don't have an explanation

He played like this for close to half an hour.

Do any of you remember this post? You know, the one where I don't have anything to say? Well, we have been busy around here and I actually could force a few posts out of me but I don't want to. I feel like me re-hashing is boring. I have nothing to say :)

Sportsman's Park

We took a little drive out to Sportsman Park the other day. We wanted let Rees see the fish. It was actually a really fun little spot. The ponds were mostly frozen over and you could see bright red fish swimming around below the surface. Rees had a hay day throwing rocks, sticks, sand, what ever he could find. He was not a happy camper when we left.

By the way, this was the first time this desert rat (meaning me) has ever walked over a frozen pond. Yup, it scared the heck out of me.

Yeah, it may look ghetto to you but we have to work with what we have:)

A late Christmas Post

Paul Revere's Home (I haven't been there yet, but I'm going to!)

South Carolina

The Biltmore House, North Carolina

Oahu, Hawaii

One day, I want our Christmas tree to be full of special ornaments. Ornaments we have collected from all the places our family has been too. I want the ornaments to reprecent the area, the traditions, and the people there. I want my kids to see the ornaments and remember the good times we had as a family and the lessons they learned. I want them to look at the ornaments and remember that the world is a big place and there is more to it than what is going on around them.

Did I tell you?

We bought a new car the day after Christmas. Say hello to our brand, spank'n new '09 Accord.
