My random jibberish

Be prepared...

The past few days have been overcast and rainy. Today I was doing errands, while it was raining, and I noticed everyones sprinklers were on watering their lawns. Even though I have been in Utah for 5 years, I still get home sick. Seeing the sprinklers watering the lawns while it was raining made me home sick. The rain fall in Moapa averages about .5" a year (maybe slightly more but not much). When ever it does rain people forget to turn their sprinklers off. For some reason, it kind of makes me chuckle.

Costco and I have a love/hate relationship. If I were rich, I would buy all my groceries at Costco. Since I am not rich, I only buy gas, milk, bread, eggs, cheese, chicken, and spices there. Only buying these things there still makes the yearly membership fee totally worth it. The reason I hate going to Costco is the U-tards. It drives me nuts when people stop in the middle of isles, completely blocking passage, pretending they can't see me standing there. The fifteen million carts standing at each sample station just waiting for the samples to finish cooking also blocking the isles. Has any one else noticed this? BTW-Kudos to all the pregnant women who work at Costco. All the preggers (which is basically every third woman in Utah County) are also the ones boxing up all the groceries and loading the carts. I think they are all stronger than me.

I am one of those people who has a HUGE list of things I wish I could do/learn but are chiefly going to remain wishes (I dream big but am really slow moving). So hear are some things I have been thinking about lately that are on my list....I wish I was more of clever thinker and writer (example: see the blog "This Fish Needs a Bicycle"). Back in my single days, I was quite a clever person. I think I have turned into a dud, I need to work on that. And how fun would it be to be a hairstylist? I totally think that would be a blast. I would love to have a Gourmet Club. I love fancy cooking. When I was younger, my parents started one. A group of couples would get together and take turns hosting and each couple provided a course. We(as in Christina and I) used to get so jealous watching my parents get all dressed up for this. They used to make and eat the best stuff. How fun would that be? I miss Disneyland. I totally want to go back and I can't wait until we can take Rees and have him know what is going on. The place is just so darn magical. I always wanted to be one of the princesses. Disney has recently come out with their own princess inspired wedding dresses. How much more 'princess' can you get? I have also been thinking how fun it would be to get married again (to Benjy of course!) only with out being engaged. That part sucks. Everytime I think about weddings now (not marriages, the actual wedding) I think about the movie Just Married. The part after the wedding when they are in the hotel and Brittany Murphy breaks down in tears because the day she has waited her whole life for is finally over...kind of totally true. I want to dress up again.

Well, there is tons more randomness but I am getting tired of typing.

I told you to beware. My mind is ADHD.

Ashley Ashley Ashley is it Lynn? Or is that Christina. I love to read about your blog because at some point you I knew you very well... I miss that and think about you someday moving back here and us living in the back with the river. Anyway What I was writing to comment about is how you feel like a dud. I totally feel what you feel. I have two kids, almost six & two. I am barley getting around to doing something. I am going back to school finally to become a registered nurse. There i have finally admitted to someone (other than Tommy) that thats my goal. It may take you awhile because being a mom is more that a full time job. Because you feel like a dud you are doing exactly what rees needs being a all the time mom. Anyway what is your e-mail so i can add it to my list for viewing my blog? e-mail me- amandamonk@mvdsl.com

I loved reading your random jibberish! Doesn't sound like you're a dud at all! I went to Disney World last summer for the very first time ever. It made me feel like a kid again! I was completely swept away by the magic. I don't make it to Costco very often, although if I did it would bring back memories of Utah, I'm sure. That's one of the many ironies of Philadelphia. We live in the middle of the city, yet every store or restaurant we want to go to is incredibly far away (including Costco, we either have to drive to New Jersey, or 45 min into the suburbs). My other favorite irony is the fact that Philly is nicknamed the City of Brotherly Love, but has one of the highest murder and crime rates in the nation. Classic :) Anyway... now that I've bored you with my own randomness :) I love reading your blog and love how often you write! Currently, it is helping me keep my mind off this seemingly unending pregnancy :)

The U-tards are everywhere! We have spotted them both in Washington and Hawaii. How do we get them to go back to Utah?? You're so funny. Love hearing your thoughts!

Oh my gosh I feel you on the crazy Costco people! I mean is it really worth it pushing your way through all the people and standing there for 10 minutes annoying everyone around you for one little bite of a granola bar?? Come on people! I actually didn't renew my membership this year and am a little bummed. I miss their chicken.
