I have recently finished reading Wuthering Heights. While reading reading the book there were times I was intrigured, thought the book was pointless, totally obsorbed in the wierd irony of the book, and then finally went back to LOVING it. I have even been reading web analysis on the book. They have been really fascinating. It turns out my abiblity to see artistic depth and symbolism is non-existant. That has really wounded my ego a bit but I've decided not to let it stop me. If you haven't actually read the book, I highly recomend it. Once you get past all the bitterness of the love story and really think about what you have read, it it simply amazing. I can truely understand why books like this have stood the test of time. The emotion that can be connected to characters is overwhelming and struggle between the characters is truely tragic. If you haven't read it recently, I highly recomend it.I think I need a nice love story next. I'm thinking about reading Emma next. Or maybe I haven't haven't had enough torment yet and I will read Great Espectations (I love that movie and liked the book in high school. Luckily I have a bad memory and I can read and watch the same thing over and over again and have a new experience everytime). What do you think? Any suggestions? Keep in mind I'm in the "classics" mode.

Jane Eyre is my favorite classic. I've read it several times and always enjoy it.
Hey! I have Emma, if you want to borrow it. I have also been in the Classics mode, I had never read, Diary of Anne Frank. So last month I decided to, this month I am going to read Tom Sawyer.... we will see how it goes, I will have to try your book, it looks interesting!
I want to suggest "Far From the Madding Crowd" by Thomas Hardy. Tragic and love story with a happy ending. Love it.
i love wuthering heights.
some classics i have loved are:
portrait of a lady
a tree grows in brooklyn
oliver twist
uncle tom's cabin
and of course anything jane austen. that's all i can think of right now. also, you might try shannon hale. she's a young adult author who happens to be lds. her books are light reading and sooo good.
