We The Kids

I love this book. Benjy’s parents gave it to us for Christmas in 2005. The book is the preamble to the Constitution of the United States but it is presented in a very kid friendly way. Through out the whole book, the pictures depict each phrase of the preamble. There is even a little dog on each page who is supposed to be acting out the phrases to promote better understanding. The pictures are incredible. There is even a page in the very beginning of the book that defines every phrase in the preamble in kid friendly terms. For example:

“To Ourselves and Our Posterity: For kids, parents, other grown-ups, and all the people born in our country after we are”

I highly recommend having this book in your home for your children. I can’t say enough good things about this. I even used to read to Rees as a new born just so he could look at all the bright colors on the pages.
