For the first 4 years of our marriage we never had real kitchen chairs. We used folding chairs the whole time. The time came when I decided that the folding chairs were no longer cool. Since we couldn't afford to buy a nice matching set of chairs, we scoured DI and came up with a new idea (complements of Mandy B.) We decided to get different chairs and paint them all different colors and then eventually get a black table to tie it all together. Well, I haven't finished the chairs, I still have three more left. I did get one chair done though and it has been painted an awesome blue color. I LOVE the chair. Unfortunately, the worst has happened. The chair cracked and split. I put so much work into this chair (as all my buddies in Orem will remember. I felt like I was sanding the thing for years) that I didn't want to just call it quits. Benjy has graciously fixed the chair but more casualties have occurred. The c-clamp took a chunk out of the side. Looks like I will be re-sanding, puttying, filling, and repainting the chair. Pray for the blue chair everyone. It is too young to bite the dust. Old Blue deserves a long and happy life :)
