My Daily Life

Rees has totally gotten a very firm grasp of object permanence. He now that even though he can't see behind or in drawers, doors, and cupboards it doesn't mean there isn't there that he shouldn't play. He is CONSTANTLY emptying shelves, cupboards, you name it. About two weeks ago he was happily sliding the frying pans around when all the sudden it got kind of quiet. I was right there washing dishes so I just looked over my shoulder to see what he had gotten into. He had not only emptied the Ziploc drawer but was pulling the Saran Wrap out of the box as fast as he possibly could. By the time the struggle of prying his little fingers off the plastic wrap was over, he had successfully pulled out about 30 feet of the stuff. Luckily we still have lots left due to the fact that the plastic wrap came from Costco but still! Needless to say, I have been rearranging which items go into what cupboard/drawer.

He doesn't even look like he cares that he is in trouble. I guess that does mean he is my son.

If it helps, we have been eating off of paper plates (even paper bowls for cereal) for a week since we haven't done our dishes :) Our Provo Canyon trip was so last minute, I really didn't have a chance to call anyone. I'll call ya next time we go, Rees would love it!
